The Toronto Art Book Fair is looking for volunteers! The Toronto Art Book Fair | TOABF is a free public event that celebrates the breadth of artists’ books and printed matter in contemporary art.
The fair features curated exhibitions, over 85 Canadian and international exhibitors, and community programming that includes; panel discussions, workshops, screenings, readings, and launches. Now in its second year, TOABF 2017 will showcase hundreds of artists, independent publishers, designers, small presses, curators, bookmakers, writers, and performers. The ongoing vision for TOABF is to represent the diversity of cultural production and creative expression. The thematic focus for TOABF 2017 is: archives and alternative narratives.
We are looking for volunteers for four positions:
- Fair Setup and Installation
- Welcome Desk Host
- TOABF Team Support
- The Common Table Attendant
The primary responsibility of volunteers is to guide fair attendees through the multifaceted roster of programming and support the TOABF team in the facilitation of events.
Volunteers must commit to two (2) four-hour shifts as well as a one hour information session which will take place on Monday, June 12th from 5-6pm at Artscape Youngplace.
