The Research Training Centre (RTC) is hosting its 2nd Annual Innovative Perspectives in Neuroscience Conference at the Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest. This conference will provide attendees (researchers, clinicians, staff, and trainees across all disciplines and all levels from undergraduate to post-doctoral fellow) with the opportunity to gain hands-on, practical, and interactive experience with not-for-profit and industry leaders as well as explore exciting careers in neuroscience. The itinerary for the day includes guest presentations, a networking lunch, and a case competition.
On Tuesday, April 11th from 1-2PM at the Sandbox (3rd floor of the SLC), we will be hosting the final RBC Lunch and Learn: The Epidemic of Anxiety. During this session, CEO and Co-Founder of Tranqool, Chakemeh Shafi will discuss why anxiety levels reported by current university students are much higher than psychiatric patients in the same age group in the 1950’s. Tranqool is a video therapy service which allows you to speak with a licensed therapist from the comfort of your home.

The Tri-Mentoring Program is now accepting applications for Mentors for the 2017/2018 academic year! TMP offers mentorship to students of all identities across all faculties. The program matches 1st year students with upper year students in the same program to help incoming students successfully transition into Ryerson. Mentors then have the opportunity to be matched with an industry professional and will gain guidance and encourage students to progress towards their goals.
