Deloitte National Leadership Conference (DNLC)

Wednesday March 22, 2017

DNLC is a student two and a half day conference open to 100 students from across the country focusing on leadership. There will be Deloitte guest speakers, opportunities to meet senior managers/partners, case competitions, etc. All expenses will be paid (accommodation, food, etc.). This year’s DNLC will take place during mid-August, schedule will be confirmed and shared with applicants shortly. Any undergraduate student graduating in 2018, 2019 and 2020 who are currently 1st, 2nd and 3rd year from all programs should apply.

Posting Closing: March 22, 2017 at 11:59 PM with interviews taking place in April 2017.

The Nahom Berhane Scholarship for Leadership and Inclusion

Accepting Applications until April 17th

Provides assistance to youth with a proven track record of volunteerism, community service and leadership in the community, who are in need of financial support to attend a post-secondary institution including universities, colleges and professional trades training.

The Scholarship is available for students who are registered to attend a post-secondary institution (in any year).

Priority will be given to candidates who come from a low-income family, single parent family, or 1st/2nd generation immigrant family.

Federal Student Work Experience Program –  Natural Resources Canada

Great Lakes Forestry Centre (GLFC) which is a part of the Canadian Forest Service (CFS), a sector of Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) is a leader both nationally and internationally in science and technology areas including, forest ecology, global climate change, insects and disease, forest health, biotechnology, and forest fire science, among others. Multimedia Intern at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health

Are you interested in using your multi-media journalism skills to help the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) develop visually-engaging content that tells a story?

CAMH Public Affairs is looking for a talented student who is interested in using their multi-media technical, creative and journalism skills to help tell the stories of the people, programs, and priorities of CAMH in images and words.  In this role, the Multimedia Communications Intern will work closely with CAMH’s Public Affairs team of corporate communication specialists in journalism, videography/photography, media relations, social media, and digital to help support visual story-telling.

Required skills:

·         Proficient use of camera equipment – video/photo – lighting, shooting angles and microphone placement in order to support the production of news-style video/photo/written stories.

·         Ability to assemble and edit digital video and graphics.

·         Experience using applications in Mac and PC operating systems (e.g.  Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite).
