This prestigious event promotes and recognizes academic excellence, and presents students with an opportunity to further engage with Ryerson University’s academic community.  The purpose of Arteries is to give undergraduate students a platform to explore research of their choice and present their own ideas to their family, friends and Ryerson University network. Contributing to a richer campus culture, Arteries invites and supports Ryerson students in their pursuit of both graduate studies, and the work force.

An Evening with Ted Graham

The School of Accounting and Finance advisory speaker series is bringing Ted Graham to Ryerson University. Ted is the head of Open Innovation at General Motors where he helps identify partnerships that will help build new forms of mobility including autonomous and connected vehicles. He is also the former Innovation leader at PWC and a McKinsey strategy consultant with a focus on understanding and leveraging people networks to influence the spread of ideas, and he is the author of ‘Uber of Everything’.

The annual Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences is recruiting over 100 paid short-term contract workers to support the delivery of the 2017 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Ryerson University from May 27 to June 2. Congress 2017 is the convergence of over 70 scholarly associations, each holding their annual conference under one umbrella. Canada’s largest gathering of scholars brings together academics, researchers, policy-makers, and practitioners to share findings, refine ideas, and build partnerships that will help shape the Canada of tomorrow. Rogers is looking for a passionate, disciplined Associate Digital Content Specialist to join their Creative team. This is an exciting role for an organized and results oriented individual who wants to be part of a great team working on world-class Brands. Responsibilities will include writing and creating social content for Rogers brand and Rogers Media brands, writing compelling digital advertising copy that entertains the audience, participating in brainstorms and ideation for Rogers Media brand campaigns, among other duties. Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Virtual Career Fair

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will be hosting virtual career fairs for students and soon-to be graduates to log into on March 6th (10:30 AM EST), March 8th (1:00 PM EST), March 10th (10:30 AM EST), March 17th (10:30 AM EST) and March 20th (1:00 PM EST).  The presentations will be bilingual and will run no longer than 1 hour.  We invite you to share this email with your students.

Commonwealth Scholarships for PhD and Split-Site PhD Study

The University of Birmingham in the UK has full scholarships with stipends for prospective PhD students from Canada to come and study in the UK. The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy will provide funding for Commonwealth Scholarships in 2017/2018. Candidates should apply directly using the electronic application system by March 21st, 2017 at 23:59 GMT.
