The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor, has launched the Lieutenant Governor’s Visionaries Prize (LGVP). The competition offers an opportunity for innovative and creative thinkers across Ontario to present their solutions to the great challenges that Ontarians and Canadians will face over the next 50 years—everything from evolving environmental pressures to electoral reform.
You can submit either a 2 min video or 800 word essay on a policy challenge and solution facing Ontario in one of six categories:
- Environmental Stewardship
- Inclusive Prosperity
- Scientific and Technological Innovation
- Social Cohesion
Submissions close March 6, 2017. Thirty-six finalists will present essays in front of a live audience in one of six Ontario locations in 2017. Six prizes of $2500 will be awarded (one per category)
