Congress 2017 Town Hall Meeting

Thursday, November 17th |  11:00am-1:00pm | The SLC Amphitheatre

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Pamela Sugiman, will be hosting two Town Halls this fall to inform the Ryerson community about Congress 2017, and to generate awareness and engagement. The Town Halls are part of an ongoing effort to promote campus-wide participation. Information will also be provided on the 600+ volunteer and 100+ contract positions that the planning team is seeking to fill. Students, faculty and staff are invited to come learn about Congress, ask questions, provide input, and explore the many opportunities to become involved in Canada’s largest, annual academic conference. Lunch will be provided.

Our guest will be Yonah Jeremy Bob, foreign affairs lecturer and correspondent and commentator for the Jerusalem Post. He has been speaking professionally since 2000 in the US, Canada and Israel, with focus on Iran, security issues, war crimes allegations, the peace process, cyber and drone warfare, politics and more. He has previously worked for the Israeli government in the IDF Legal Division, the Foreign Ministry, and the Justice Ministry. He has appeared regularly in the media, including the BBC, Skynews,  and Voice.
