Student volunteers will support our tenant members in completing the survey form. The process may include going over the survey, explaining the questions and providing support with filling-out the survey. (Training will be provided).
About the Organization: Mainstay Housing (MH) works with people living with mental health and addiction issues who are deeply affected by poverty and provides them with housing, ongoing support and greater opportunity to be part of a community. With stable housing as a foundation, everyone belongs and has a bridge to a better life. Mainstay offers supporting housing services for about 1,000 units in various parts of the City of Toronto.
About the Survey: Mainstay Housing is conducting a survey to measure tenant members’ experience of community and belonging within and outside Mainstay. The responses from the survey will increase Mainstay’s understanding of the tenant members’ experience, ability to use the results to reach out to the members and make changes to the supports and services provided to them.
Timelines: The survey will run in November and December of 2016.
We are looking for students who are:
- Committed and have patience
- Willing to travel to locations within Toronto
- Attend an orientation to learn about Mainstay and the project and how to support tenant members in filling out the survey
- There is flexibility to organize the time and location for this volunteering opportunity
If you are interested, please contact: Andrea Gutowski of Mainstay Housing for more details by Thursday, November 3, 2016 at (416)220-6114.
