Dr. Becky Choma, Director of the Social and Political Psychology (SPP) lab in the department of psychology at Ryerson University is considering applications for a Research Assistant. The position is 15-20 hours per week from September 2016 to mid-December 2016; January to early April 2017.

The Research Assistant will be involved in several research projects, and duties and responsibilities will relate to all stages of the research process and day-to-day activities of the SPP Lab, including: literature searches, material/stimuli development, data collection (online surveys and in-lab studies with student and community populations), coordinating lab members (e.g., volunteer RAs), training undergraduate RAs, data entry (SPSS), and manuscript preparation. The research projects cover topics relating to sociopolitical ideology and prejudice/discrimination.

Requirements: Must have completed at least 3 years of an undergraduate psychology degree, possess strong interpersonal skills, organized, and attention to detail. Candidates with prior research experience and higher academic averages are strongly encouraged to apply.
