Hello Arts Students! Congratulations on finishing your exams and I hope you are all enjoying the beginning of your summer holiday (despite it being a little chilly). For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Avala Moore and I am your Faculty of Arts Student Life Advisor. During the summer, I work with a team of student leaders and student volunteers to plan and facilitate the Faculty of Arts Enrollment Workshops and Orientation events. I am looking for YOU to be a part of this team!
Are you an aspiring social entrepreneur or activist with an innovative idea for a venture that you want to explore further? The course, SSH 400a, will foster and develop your ideas for practical projects related to social justice, social change, and/or social or cultural entrepreneurship. Through the use of innovative instructional methods students will develop the practical skills (e.g., proposal writing, fundraising, needs assessments, etc.) needed to move their projects forward.
The Biobehavioral Alcohol Research Lab at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (PI: Dr. Christian Hendershot) has openings for student volunteers to work on research projects related to alcohol and substance use.
