Camp Outlook is non profit, volunteer run charity that provides young people with the opportunity to develop their self-worth, inner strength, and their capacity to succeed. We do this by taking campers, who would not otherwise have the opportunity to go camping, on 7-14 day canoe trips in Algonquin Provincial Park for no fixed cost. Youth go for free if they cannot pay. These trips provide youth with a supportive experience in the outdoors to grow. As staff, you will be provided with full training in June, lead three or more canoe trips in Algonquin Park and spend the rest of the summer preparing for trips and living with your co-staff in Kingston.
No previous tripping experience is necessary. We do require an unwavering commitment to providing our youth with a positive and supportive experience, even after a long hard day of paddling, and an open and supportive mindset towards other staff.
The 2016 summer season runs from the last week of May to the end of August. We provide room, board and full training including certifications in Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and Wilderness First Aid. We value building a diverse team, people from all backgrounds, experiences and age and are encouraged to apply. Visitwww.campoutlook.ca for applications. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or questions.
Deadline to apply: midnight, February 26th, 2016.
Outlook is as rewarding as it is challenging. You will never forget your summer with Outlook, the campers, the staff, or the park.
