Workshop | Taking the Stress Out of Applying to Graduate Studies

1453496536_resolutions-19Planning your next educational steps involve knowing who you are and how you go about finding the correct information.  Three Professional Career Counsellors have designed a 2 part series for you to understand, learn and develop a personal strategy for pursuing your next educational goal.  Please see below for the description. It is encouraged that you attend both sessions before making an individual career counselling appointments with Ryerson’s Professional Career Counsellors.

  • Do you hope to apply to graduate or professional school?
  • Do you know yourself well enough to identify which programs would be a best fit?
  • Are you feeling confident in your ability to get in and to cope with advanced studies?
  • Have you thought about “plan B” educational options?

This two-part workshop series has been designed to take some of the stress and ambiguity out of planning your educational future.  Learn strategies for strengthening your decision-making skills, researching programs and presenting your qualifications to gain a competitive edge.  Discover how to approach the possibility of graduate studies with hope, optimism and realistic expectations.

Part 1: Laying the Foundation (Rosemarie Volpe, M.A.Sc. / Sahri Woods-Baum, M.Ed.)

Part 2: Preparing Your Personal Statement (Sonny Wong, M.Ed.)
When:  Tuesday February, 9 2016 at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

All sessions are in room JOR-06.  As there is no registration and space is limited, please arrange to arrive on time.
