The Irene Gammel & Jean-Paul Boudreau Undergraduate Research Award recognizes excellence in research and academic achievement for a BA student in the Faculty of Arts. Award recipients will receive a certificate and a monetary award of $1,000 and will be recognized at their program department’s awards ceremony.
Eligible students must have successfully completed a minimum of 10 semester courses towards any BA degree in the Faculty of Arts, hold a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (B), and have demonstrated a minimum of 50 hours of Faculty of Arts based research experience from a research practicum course, a research volunteership, or a research assistantship.
Please note that, in accordance with the award criteria, preference this year will be given to a student in a Humanities program.
Students may self nominate for this Award or be nominated by a research supervisor or the undergraduate program director. The application deadline is September 15, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
This Award was established by Dr. Irene Gammel, Professor of English, Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Modern Literature and Culture and director of the Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre, and Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Professor of Psychology.
