handdrawn-microscope-128Dr. Noor Kabani is seeking a volunteer research assistant for a project titeld Temperament and bonding as a feature of brain development in young children: A preliminary study.

Research Synopsis: In collaboration with the Child Development Institute, this research project aims to discern patterns of learning in the context of bonding and temperament within the normal range of parenting. The study will gather data including, parent-child temperament, parenting style, bonding index and developmental status of the child. This study has a long term goal of informing practice relevant to child care.

Responsibilities: Accompany the PI to various child care centres and help with data collection including recruiting families, obtaining consent and administering questionnaires. Must be willing to work flexible hours, must be comfortable working with young children (4 years old) and families.

Duration of the position is from March to June, 2015.
